RE:Debt Settlement Option?
Dear voobjube:

You have every right to be leery of debt settlement, since those companies have horrible success rates and extremely high fees. However, you may want to evaluate how you might be able to save money on your own to use towards negotiating your own settlements.

A debt management program would not be beneficial to your situation since your accounts have already been charged off as bad debts and turned over to outside collection agencies. I hope this information is helpful.

Debt Settlement Option?
greatings - I have $18k in credit card debt that has already gone to collections.   I can't make a settlement of any kind, and I'm leery of DMP or debt settlement.   I can resume paying 2% monthly on the current balances, but can't pay the amounts behind.  can i just make the payments that i can to the debt collectors?   any suggestions would be appreciated
